Recently, I had a few Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) sessions with Marie. She is a clear & confident communicator, which helped me feel safe, which is rare for me with medical professionals. She comes with a depth of somatic knowledge while continuing to deepen her understanding of the body’s varied systems & their interconnections.

I have various body activations, such as a disabled spine with nerve damage & lymphedema from cancer surgeries. What impressed me about Marie’s skills / modalities were the unexpected benefits to other body parts than the intended focal point of the treatments, such as the nerve damage around my jaw benefited from the MLD to my face. I look forward to working with Marie again.

I have been seeing Marie for over six months now and I am beyond pleased at her level of skill, warmth, and the techniques that she both embodies and employs. I go for a longer session because it is a beautiful opportunity to have Marie use her skills in both Swedish massage and the remarkable healing benefits of  Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Wow!  Both of these techniques employ her advanced skill and level of mastery, but I must say when she works with MLD on me for over half the 90  minute session, I get "into the zone" .  The zone is the experience of dropping into a deeply meditative, calm regulated state where my nervous system is allowed to beautifully recalibrate in a deep state of regulation and peace. It's a zone that meditation alone does not accomplice for me, and as a psychologist who uses somatic therapy as a core modality, Marie knows exactly how to access the body's capacity to both regulate and heal.

Marie, I would have to say that I never thought anyone could get deep enough into my tight, knotty shoulders. I didn't think it was possible, but you did it! Your table is very cozy also, and I loved the flannel sheets. If I lived in the area, I would be a frequent client. The massage you gave me was a great end to a vacation, and I appreciated it. Also, massages here in Charleston cost more than twice what you charge and don't compare in quality. It was a lovely experience overall, and I appreciate it.
